WELCOME TO RIGHT FROM THE START
DAYCARE & PRESCHOOL CENTER
RFTS would like to welcome you and your child (ren). We are very happy that you are considering our center to provide the care for your child (ren). We hope this website will help you with any questions regarding the center, the staff, the classroom environment and our program.
Since our opening day of May 10 2004 RFTS has been dedicated to meeting the needs of your child(ren) at each stage of their development and learning. It is our goal to form a partnership with parents to enhance the child's cognitive growth and sense of well being.
*Right from the Start is a privately owned childcare center, with a single owner. Our childcare space is leased through the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU). In the building there are other services (run by the BCIU): school age program, head start, early intervention, speech/occupational therapy services and other services*
*Right from the Start is licensed by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL). RFTS is part of the Northeast region of OCDEL. We are inspected annually by OCDEL.*
*Right from the Start is also a voluntary participant in the Pennsylvania Keystone Stars Program. Right from the Start currently is a Keystone Star 4 Center. Keystone Stars is a state wide quality rating system designed for participating centers to improve the quality for children beyond already existing regulations set forth by OCDEL. Each star designation has its own research based performance standards. The standards make a difference in the quality of care your child receives. The three areas of child care that are measured are the staff we employ, the environment your child is in everyday and the way we run our business. Right from the Start is currently a participant in the PA Keystone Stars quality early learning program. This is a voluntary program that recognizes childcare providers who exceed state health and safety certification requirements*
*Right from the Start is also a participating member of PACCA. The Pennsylvania Child Care Association (PACCA) is a statewide, non profit organization dedicated to facilitating the provision of quality early care and education to the children of Pennsylvania*
